Why is the former confederate states not taking over the rest of the USA and forcing the Constitution on them?

Is it because states like Texas and Arizona don't care about how Chicago and many of the northern cities are living their lives or is it because militias (the volunteer militant forces who were assembled as an idea in the 2nd amendmend to fight for freedom) are outgunned and outmaneuvered or is that irrelevant since all the major military bases are stationed in the south and because they sign up they are all actually citizens even if their not living like civiliants due to their freedom of choice and so rather it is because the U.S. Navy can fire on them with Air Craft carriers and they are located in the north and the U.S.A. has the largerst Navy and so ground forces and even the militias and police forces in Texas combined with the Air Force are in a stalemate?
