Shouldnt guns be outlawed?

Absolutely Not. I own several guns, and have a conceal/carry permit in the state of Virginia. I feel safer because of it. I rest easier at night knowing that my house is protected. While it would be ideal to call an officer of the peace to come if someone broke into my house, my .45 is a great option until they get there. All of the firearms I own are registered (if by law they are required to be). Plus, if guns were outlawed, the criminals would still get their hands on them, and law-abiding citizens like you and me would get the short end of the stick. Irresponsible gun owners are the ones who screw everything up for the people who are responsible and know how to properly handle their firearms. Hope this helps.
